Did you watch Obama's speech at Notre Dame? If so you could not miss the Secret Service guy sitting just behind him all decked out as a scholar. He had Secret Service written on his forehead (*). He never smiled or clapped, and his eyes were darting everywhere.

(*) Not literally; I did that.

PS: Earlier this afternoon Stephani, Robin and I went to Bimini Boatyard for lunch. I haven't been there in more than a decade. The fares are very creative.

PPS: After lunch Stephani showed me my old car. She has really kept it in great shape.

I received this email for a fellow balloonist along with two photos:

Hey Alf,

Being a balloonist I ran across your site while surfing the web. With the balloons, women, and travel I think it may be my new favorite web site! Keep it up: very entertaining!

Attached is a picture of the current tour I am doing for Disney/Pixar's new movie UP. We have been tethering the system for media rides, but hopefully in the next day or two I am going to free fly the system.

Safe Landings,
Troy Bradley

If you think Geocaching is an endeavor for people with too much time on their hands push the 'pause' button and click over to

I would not have been aware of this terribly arcane sport had I not received this curiously stamped one dollar bill when I had my car washed the other day.

Like Geocaching you can 'plant' your goodies pretty much wherever and whenever you like. Also, like Geocaching you can go onto a dedicated Internet site and see if anyone has 'found' it (though you'll be automatically notified when and where it was found and how far it has traveled and where it traveled).

Unlike Geocaching you don't need a GPS unit. Also unlike Geocaching you can not seek the thing. You are largely at the mercy of luck. (*)

Hey, I wonder if this sport is legal? Isn't there some Federal statute that talks about defacing the currency?

Hmmm ... I wonder if there is a big overlap in the players of these to sports.

(*) I suppose you can better the odds if you insist that all of your wages, gambling winnings and change be given in one dollar bills.

Today was our 6th wedding anniversary (though, we have been together for 9 years). We celebrated it by having lunch at The Capital Grill in the Galleria Mall. [Hey, I was starving for a bloody steak]

Lust (or love?) in our backyard. And, will she ever let him catch her?

PS: My friend, Kevin, sent this.

I love it: Fan Clubs = Churches, Mosques, Temples, Synagogues, Tarot Card Shops and all the other funny gathering spots.

Geocacher David signed a log, left a coin and took a sticker from my cache named "Corkscrew Balloon" ... but, he failed to post his find on the official Geocache Internet site. The first person to find AND post was DTM (Dennis the Menace).

This is the view...looking west ... from the Corkscrew Balloon cache.

OASN (*) I planted another cache yesterday. It is at:
